Go Bulldogs!

No, not those Bulldogs.  (You know me better than that.)  These Bulldogs.  Samford is playing in its first Southern Conference game, as I write this, against Elon University.  Right now Elon is leading 23-17.  Thanks to the miracle of streaming audio, I am listening to it right now on WVSU (you Birmingham residents may want to try doing the streaming audio thing too, since WVSU has a range of approximately 50 yards from the Beeson University Center).

Now, as for those other Bulldogs (ahem), I will refrain from comment until tonight.

Looking at WVSU’s site, I never knew eighth notes had arms and hands–eyes and ears, well, of course!

BTW, in related matters, Phillip Fulmer looks like cross between Fred Thompson and Don Rickles.

  2. cancerman says:

What do you mean “not those bulldogs”.

  3. cancerman says:

Perhaps you are referring to Yale?

  4. RevJATB says:

    So Cancerman . . .

  5. cancerman says:

Not a good night for Bulldogs of any type. At least Florida lost too.

  6. Cap'n Whook says:

As did Tennessee. Poor Fulmer, such a persona non grata to the some. Mister Rogers would have disapproved.

  7. RevJATB says:

On the Fulmer thing: I’m thinking more Fred Thompson and Tim Conway.

  8. Cap'n Whook says:

Oooooh. You’re getting good at this! (I was going to say W. D. Peeples, former SU math prof, instead of Rickles, but few people would get that reference.)

Somewhere in all this could be Anderson Cooper and a wing nut for . . . (better stop).

  9. RevJATB says:

    George W Bush? or Tuberville?

  10. Cap'n Whook says:

Tuby = Gloria Vanderbilt’s son + a literal wing nut. (Not my best material.)

Of course, Dubya does have big ears, at least in the political cartoons.
